TITAN 108 EC is a selective systemic herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grasses in Soyabean, Cotton crop. It is used as post emergence of weeds upt o2- 6 leaf stage.
Brachiaria spp, Digitaria Sanguinalis Dinebra arabica,Echinochloa spp Eleusine indica,Eragrostis spp, Panicum isochmi.
Application rate : 1 Litre per hectare. 80ml- 100ml/ 16 litre sprayer . Dose can be increase to 1.5 Litre per Hectare depends on weed pressure pH of Spray Water : The efficacy of TITAN may be reduced by very hard water (>1000 p.p.m slutes) and by water with a high pH value. When TITAN is used, the optimal efficacy there of will be obtained in water of pH 4.5-5.5. Water of lower or higher pH that 4.5-5.5 should be buffered to desired pH.
Maize, sorghum, wheat or any other grass crop should not be planted on treated soil for a period of 3 months after application in case of a failed broadleaf crop.
Crop: The crop may be treated at any time when the weeds are in the correct stage (2-6 leaf stage). Providing that the withholding periods are adhered to If the crop shields the weeds drop- arms must be used to ensure adequate coverage of the weeds or else poor weed control may possible.
Weeds: Weeds which have not germinated at the time of application will not be controlled. Grass weeds must be actively growing and not under drought stress during application as this can limit uptake of the translocation. For annual grasses best results are obtained when they are 2-6 leaf stage while with Paspalum spp best results are obtained when application is made at the early flowering stage.
Weeds not contacted by herbicide solution will not be affected. This may occur in dense clumps, severe infestations or when the height of the weeds varies so that not all weeds are contacted. In this case repeat application may be required in patches. Rain or irrigation within 1 hour after application of TITAN 108 g/l may need second spray. Although the observable effect of spraying may not be seen for up to 2 to 3 weeks after spraying. TITAN 108 g/l does cause immediate cessation of cell division in the plant and therefore growth.
