USE ONLY AS DIRECTED –
For external use on cattle, sheep and goats, Tick-Rid Plus should not be used with any other dip.
Cattle – Spraying: Dipwash should be freshly prepared for each spraying. Add premixed to the measured bulk water in spraying sump and stir thoroughly. When well mixed add to measure bulk water in spraying race sump and stir thoroughly.
Boost: It is recommended that no more than 400 head be sprayed in the spray race at once time, especially when fouling is the problem. If, however, this figure is exceeded boosting at the rate of 100 me per 2oo heads, commencing at 400 heads, can be undertaken to maintain a satisfactory.
Plunge deep: Total replenishment: This requires that the dip is topped up the desired level on each dipping occasion. Tick-Rid Plus is then added on every occasion at a late of 1L to 5000L of water, taking the amount of water in the tank into calculation.
Lime stabilised: – Fresh fill: Tick-Rid Plus at the rate of 1L per 1000L water. At the same time at 5 Kg lime (75%) per 1000L dip wash. – “Head Count” Replenishment system: After dipping add water to dip tank to fill the dip tank to the required level. Use the following table to calculate how much Tick-Rid Plus needs to be added to the dip tank.
Note: 1 of Tick-Rid 250 will replenish sufficient dip wash to 359 cattle. At the end of each dipping, calcium hydroxide (75%) must be added to the tank at a rate of 5Kg per 100 head of cattle dipped to ensure that the dip wash pH is in the region of 12. Frequency:
